Sometimes on Mac computers, you may encounter the following error: "The last time you opened Multilogin, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows". To resolve this issue, the following steps need to be completed in the terminal:

  1. Go to the activity monitor and quit Multilogin
  2. Open the macOS Terminal and run the following commands one-by-one:
    defaults write -app multilogin NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -bool false
    defaults write com.apple.CrashReporter DialogType none
  3. Go to the following folder: /Users/%username%/Library/Saved Application State/
To find this folder on Mac, open Finder and press Cmd + Shift + H to open a user folder, then press Cmd + Shift + . (period) to show hidden files.
  1. Delete the following file: com.multiloginapp.installer-jet.multilogin.savedState
  2. Start Multilogin
As a shortcut, instead of steps 3 and 4, the following quick command can be used:
rm -r /Users/$USER/Library/Saved\ Application\ State/com.multiloginapp.installer-jet.multilogin.savedState/
