Sometimes on Mac computers, you may encounter the following error: "The last time you opened Multilogin, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows". To resolve this issue, the following steps need to be completed.

  1. Go to the Activity monitor and quit Multilogin
  2. Open the macOS Terminal and run the following commands one-by-one:
    defaults write -app multilogin NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -bool false
    defaults write com.apple.CrashReporter DialogType none
As a shortcut, instead of steps 3 and 4, the following quick command can be run in the Terminal:
rm -r /Users/$USER/Library/Saved\ Application\ State/com.multiloginapp.installer-jet.multilogin.savedState/
  1. Go to the following folder: /Users/%username%/Library/Saved Application State/
To find this folder on Mac, open Finder and press Cmd + Shift + H to open a user folder, then press Cmd + Shift + . (period) to show hidden files.
  1. Delete the following file: com.multiloginapp.installer-jet.multilogin.savedState
  2. Start Multilogin
