Migration of legacy profiles from version 4.x to 5.x and newer

Before you proceed with the legacy profiles migration, please be aware:

1) If the browser profile was shared with another user, such user will lose access to the profile after profile migration.

2) Migrated browser profiles will not be accessible on versions
older than 5.x.

3) Migrated browser profiles will be unassigned from groups.

4) Browser profiles and groups, created on versions before 5.x, will not be available in the
Teamwork 2.0 view.

5) Browser profiles, created on versions before 5.x, need to be migrated to work with
Teamwork 2.0 features.

To view legacy browser profiles, click the toggle button and switch to the v4 view.

Migrating profiles to version 5.x and newer

  1. Click the toggle button and switch to an older version of the app
  2. Click the "> 5.0" button under the "Migrate" column
You may need to click the green "Update" button first.
  1. Click "Migrate"
  2. Wait for the system message confirming successful profile migration

After a profile is migrated, it appears in v5 view and can be shared with team members. For more information, check the Sharing browser profiles article.

While adding team members, do not use emails previously registered in Multilogin, as you cannot invite the existing user to the team.

Migrating profiles to version 5.x in bulk

Starting from the 5.1.2 version, profile migration can be processed in bulk.
  1. Click the toggle button and switch to an older version of the app
  2. Select browser profile(s) that you want to migrate
  3. Click "Migrate"
If this button is not available, make sure to click the green "Update" button first.
  1. Wait for the system message confirming successful profiles migration
